A kitchen is the one room where the electrical decides the layout. We hold both licenses, so the circuits are planned with the cabinets rather than chased in afterwards.
Why the two trades belong together.
Most homes were not built for what a kitchen now has to carry. Induction ranges, double ovens, a dishwasher, a disposal, a microwave, a run of small appliances along the counter and lighting under every cabinet — that is far more load, and far more circuits, than the original design allowed for.
Hiring a kitchen contractor and then an electrician means the electrical gets planned around cabinets that are already fixed. Outlets end up where a splashback wants to be, and a circuit that should have been run while the wall was open becomes a chase through finished plaster.
We plan the two together. The rough-in happens while the walls are open, which is the cheapest it will ever be, and every socket and switch lands where the finished kitchen actually needs it — from demolition through to the last switch plate.
